Great news on AI trends in 2025

When we look at AI jobs in Europe, we can see impressive growth, even if in other sectors jobs are decreasing. AI trends in Europe is growing, for instance, in the UK, AI job postings are up 37.6% year over year, in Germany, they’re up 14.9%, and in France, they’ve seen a 9.6% increase.

Additionally, “the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) projects opportunities in computer and information research to grow 26 percent between 2023 and 2033“.

HUGE advantages of AI jobs or companies that adopted AI jobs:

  • Industries more exposed to AI have three times higher growth in revenue per employee
  • Wages are rising two times faster
  • Skills for AI jobs are changing 66% faster

It is well known that AI disrupts jobs and, at the same time, strategies of entire companies, including Meta, which brings a lot of uncertainty and fear around the world. Additionally, an important layer of uncertainty for European markets is added by the trade tensions, including tariffs proposed by the US.

Some examples that disrupted industries in the past are factory automation roles; ATMs; e-commerce and the Internet and so on. Today we talk about AI. AI already promises to replace thousands of jobs, which came in only in 2022. Just think about this for a second.

Companies and employers are already shifting their priorities towards implementing AI and using generative AI and AI solutions in the following five years, with more than half of them admitting that hiring AI talent will become a priority.

It is clear that AI is changing the landscape of the entire workforce, but there is also good news. The WEF (World Economic Forum) states that “despite 85 million roles being displaced, 97 million new jobs are expected to emerge, specifically in fields like data science, AI development and monitoring, and AI and human collaborative roles”.

What jobs are safe from these AI trends?

Well, here are 9 AI jobs to consider:

  1. AI Engineer
  2. Machine learning engineer
    • Been on Indeed’s Best Jobs list for years
  3. Data Engineer
    • Been on Indeed’s Best Jobs list for years
  4. Robotics Engineer
  5. Software Engineer
  6. Data scientist
  7. Natural language processing Engineer
  8. AI research scientist
  9. Computer vision Engineer

These jobs are more oriented toward creating, designing, and making AI function as it should. But there are other safe jobs that can use AI as a friend and not as an enemy, therefore AI is giving them a helping hand, instead of replacing them. These are: choreographers, nurses, paramedics, mental health specialists, trainers, civil engineers, musicians, journalists, project managers, surgeons, and many more.

The world is not ending with AI. Only a new beginning rises, which might be better for us than we expect now, but we need to put in the hard work.

Meaning, that we should adapt our work, update our skills, and find ways to become friends with AI, learn to use it, and adopt it in our daily tasks. This way, AI will become our partner and help us better deliver results, instead of being replaced.

Justina Nixon-Saintil, IBM vice president, stated: “Learning does not just stop anymore. There’s a new technology all the time; it’s accelerating at a much faster rate than it ever did. You know, today it’s AI, it could be quantum tomorrow. AI will impact almost every job role and will affect every industry.”, concluding: “Whether you’re in the service industry, a tech company, or finance, everyone needs to be upskilled and understand what AI means for their role”.

The only way you should be worried about your job is if you decide to ignore everything that happens in your industry, act like nothing will happen, and in the end be surprised by someone giving a better service than yours.
